AFI Intermediate Dermal Filler is part of the Anatomy for Injectors (AFI) pathway and focuses on contouring and rejuvenation techniques for the lower face. Aimed at practitioners who have completed foundation training, this course develops confidence and precision in intermediate areas through anatomy-led theory and safety-first principles.

The curriculum covers chin and jawline reshaping, sub-zygomatic volumisation, and oral commissures (marionette lines). You will refine plane selection, technique choice (needle vs cannula), and treatment mapping for balanced outcomes while recognising danger zones and strategies to avoid complications. Content is presented with diagrams, illustrations and video demonstrations to consolidate learning.

• Understand facial anatomy relevant to intermediate lower-face augmentation
• Select the correct plane for dermal filler deposition in each target area
• Know when to use needle versus cannula and apply each safely
